Birmingham Visual Arts Coalition (B-VAC) is a collective of 15 strong and diverse artists who look at innovative and fresh ways of creating contemporary art both individually and together. B-VAC draws its ethos from the ‘schools’ of art of old, pulling like-minded individual artists together to produce unique shows of contemporary art. However, unlike the ‘schools’ of art of old B-VAC is never limited by style, medium, content or genre. B-VAC works as an umbrella heading for the shows, but acts as a promotional tool for the artists working within the coalition – with no single artist being more important than the others.

The individual members of the coalition have experience of displaying work across the UK and Europe. Collectively there is no easy way of pigeonholing B-VAC or the work that is produced, but individually each of the 15 artists brings something unique that transpires to make interesting and diverse exhibitions.
