Photography is a hunt, an attempt at affirming reality while exploring the soul. While I photograph, nothing is planned. It should roll as fluidly as jazz; responding through creation. In this sense its essence lies within the subconscious. The common, the extreme, risk, desire, existence, chance, the unconscious, intimacy, instinct, brutality and poetry. In bringing these worlds together I hope to question as much about the state of the world, as what is in the heart of the viewer.
Nick was born in 1983 in Leamington spa, Britain. He is a drifting, practicing photographer. Education includes a BA in Graphic art and design, and an MA in photography. His work primarily incorporates hand printed film based photography.
